Ready to strike US aircraft carrier: North Korea
In a statement released by the North Korean officials on Sunday, North Korea was ready to sink a US aircraft carrier in order to showcase its military power as two Japanese navy ships joined the US carrier group for exercise in the western Pacific.
In a response to the rapidly increase in tension over North Korea’a nuclear missile, US President Donald Trump ordered the ISS Carl Vinsion carrier strike group to said to waters off the Korean peninsula.
However the North Korea still remains defiant:
“Our revolutionary forces are combat-ready to sink a U.S. nuclear-powered aircraft carrier with a single strike,” the Rodong Sinmun, the newspaper of the North’s ruling Workers’ Party, said in a commentary.
