Latest: Black box of Tu-154 and other fragments found – Russian MoD

The black box of Tu-154’s has been found at the depth of 17 meters (56 feet) of the Black Sea, Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Tuesday. According to the minitry, five more fragments of the crashed plane have been located, which include fuselage and parts of the engine.

Uptil now 12 bodies have been recovered from the crash site, the ministry said.

The black box was located some 1,600 meters (one mile) from shore by a FALCON underwater drone.

Around 45 ships, 15 underwater drones, 12 planes, 192 divers, and 5 are involved in the search.
