Paradise Leaks: US commerce chief, UK’s queen have offshore investments
According to the vast numbers of financial documents leaked in Paradise Papers released by the US-based International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross has business ties to a shipping firm linked to Vladimir Putin’s inner circle.
The documents also revealed that the Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II has investments in tax havens.
It has also been revealed in the documents that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s top fundraiser and senior adviser Stephen Bronfman, heir to the Seagram fortune, moved some $60 million to offshore tax havens with ex-senator Leo Kolber.
