Breaking: ISIS claims responsibility for New Year’s Eve attack in Istanbul

ISIS, the international group has now claimed the responsibility for the shooting at the nightclub on New Year’s Eve in Istanbul, killing 39 people.

A statement, reported by Isis-linked Aamaq News Agency, reads: “In continuation of the blessed operations that Islamic State is conducting against the protector of the cross, Turkey, a heroic of the caliphate struck one of the most famous nightclubs where the celebrate their apostate holiday.”

Turkish Recep Tayyip while calling the attack a “dirty game”, vowed that his country will remain level-headed and stand together against terrorism. He also promised to fight back not just against the militant jihadists, but all “the forces behind them” by foiling their “economic, political and social attacks.”
