Blast hits Turkish Aegean city of Izmir, killing at least two

Blast hits city of Turkey, killing at least two people just outside the courthouse on Thursday. The blast that took place in a car was followed by shooting by two suspected terrorists.
As a result of the battle, the officer and member of courthouse staff were shot dead, regional governor Erol Ayyildiz told reporters.

He also added that the vehicle used by the terrorists was suspected as a threat by the security forces as it approached a checkpoint, causing the attackers to detonate their explosives and open fire. Afterwards gunfire broke out between and the men suspected.

The shot two suspects at the scene, while a third attacker is thought to remain on the run.

At least 10 people have been injured in the blast that was followed by the battle.
